Whiskered Tern, Quoile Pondage, Breffni Martin:
Whiskered Tern - A species new to Northern Ireland
On the 26th April 2009 a Whiskered Tern (Chlidonias hybrida) was found at the Quoile Pondage by Keith Bennett. This was a first for Northern Ireland but occured during an influx of birds in to Great Britain. A good number of local birders were able to observe the bird.
